Monique didn’t enter the industry planning a long-term career. In fact, when she first joined a Sydney-based strata firm 8 years ago, she was preparing to join the police force. That’s when something unexpected happened.
“No two days are the same in strata, and I think that’s what initially hooked me.”
From the moment she entered the industry as a receptionist, Monique progressed at a pace that quickly signalled her capability. Within just 18 months she had progressed through insurance, compliance, fire safety, and strata assistant roles before taking on her own portfolio as a Strata Manager.
When she joined Civium, that momentum only accelerated. Monique became a Senior Strata Manager and was soon promoted to Team Leader, a role in which her breadth of roles made an immediate impact. Having worked across nearly every operational function, Monique brought a rare, holistic understanding of the pressures and realities of strata communities.
“I’ve experienced varied aspects of how a strata plan is managed and that exposure prepared me to be the leader.”
In 2025, she stepped into the NSW General Manager role during a period of significant change. Her steady leadership and industry insight were exactly what the team needed. 6 months in, her optimism for the year ahead is clear:
“We have the right team, with the right experience, in the right seats. That’s how I know 2026 is going to be a great year, and I’m excited to see our NSW team thrive and in turn the positive impact that will have for our clients.”
