Traineeship Program

The Strata Kickstarter Program is designed to immerse trainees in the fundamentals of Strata Management along with Civium’s culture and values.

This comprehensive program blends hands-on training across our strata departments with formal education delivered by our Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

The ultimate goal? To equip them with the skills to become exceptional Strata Managers and build long-term, fulfilling careers within Civium.

Alex Boundy will be your mentor throughout the traineeship.

Alex is:

  • A qualified electrician
  • General Manager of Civium Facilities Management
  • Managing Director of Ochre Trade Services
  • A member of the Civium Senior Leadership Team

Alex is passionate advocate of the Strata Kickstarter Traineeship Program.

As your mentor, Alex will meet with each of you individually on a weekly basis to provide you with support and advice as you navigate your way through the program.

He is also available to you on an ad hoc basis to act as your advocate and guide through your rotations.

As part of the program, you will be given time and support to complete a Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419). This comprises of a range of core and elective units.

To successfully achieve the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419), you must demonstrate competency in 18 units, comprising 5 core units and 13 elective units, completed over a two-year period.

Core Units

  • CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in realestate
  • CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
  • CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
  • CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts

Elective Units

  • CPPREP4101 Appraise property for sale or lease
  • CPPREP4102 Market property
  • CPPREP4103 Establish vendor relationships
  • CPPREP4104 Establish buyer relationships
  • CPPREP4105 Sell property
  • CPPREP4121 Establish landlord relationships
  • CPPREP4122 Manage tenant relationships
  • CPPREP4123 Manage tenancy
  • CPPREP4124 End tenancy
  • CPPREP4125 Transact in trust accounts

You will be provided with study time throughout the program by working a 9-day fortnight on your rotation with the 10th day allocated as a study day.

At the completion of each rotation, your allocated trainer will be asked to complete an assessment of your performance during that time.

AGMs: You are required to attend at least one Annual General Meeting (AGM) per fortnight. This will be coordinated through Julian Ortner-Kemp, General Manager Strata ACT.

Time in Lieu: If any these meetings are held after hours, you will be given time off in lieu.
